LSD

Everyone has seen the ubiquitous white, oval-shaped car decals that feature one or more black letters as the message.  Here at the beach resort area, everyone knows that the L is for Lewes, RB is for Rehoboth Beach, BB is Bethany Beach, and FI is Fenwick Island...but not everyone knows what the "LSD" sticker means.  Before you link those three letters to Dr. Timothy Leary's famous quote, "Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out," let me quickly say that LSD on our bumper stickers is not a reference to the Harvard psychology professor's favorite psychedelic drug, lysergic acid diethylamide.  LSD for us just means Lower Slower Delaware.  And anyone who has spent time here knows that we enjoy a certain relaxed attitude: for example, there's currently no one-hour dry cleaning service, we only have one cobbler to repair your shoes (and he only opened for business a few years ago), there is no COSTCO nearby, and sometimes you have to take time off from work to get your hair cut because your stylist doesn't work nights or weekends...little things like that.  So, as we move into summer, if you feel the need to express your Lower Slower Delaware attitude, check out Cafe Press on line where you can order your very own LSD decal.
